Edemilson Paraná

Edemilson Paraná is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Sciences at LUT University, Finland, where he leads the Research Group on Economy, Technology and Society (GETS). His research examines the intersections of political economy, technological change, and social transformation.

He is a Starting Grantee of the European Research Council (ERC) and an Academy Research Fellow of the Research Council of Finland (RCF). In addition to his role at LUT University, he is an international fellow at the Rudolf Agricola School for Sustainable Development at the University of Groningen.

Edemilson is actively engaged in international academic publishing and scholarly communities. He currently serves on the editorial board of The Yearbook on Data Autonomy, the corresponding editorial board of Historical Materialism, and the advisory board of Global Political Economy.
