TAIMI Research Featured in Teaching on Democracy, Participation, and AI at LUT University

It is great to see TAIMI research connected to teaching through the course “Democracy, Participation, and Sustainable Citizenship” at LUT University.

During his lectures, Yannick Lahti explored artificial intelligence and its connections to the TAIMI project, highlighting how technological developments intersect with democratic participation, trust in society, and sustainable citizenship.

The sessions brought ongoing research directly into the classroom and encouraged students to reflect on how policy, technology, and social structures interact in practice. The lectures also demonstrated how developments in artificial intelligence influence broader societal questions related to participation, inclusion, and the future of democratic societies.

Integrating current research into teaching offers students opportunities to engage with real-world societal challenges through evidence-based perspectives and critical discussion.

At TAIMI, we value the close connection between research and education and aim to support learning environments that encourage critical thinking, societal engagement, and interdisciplinary understanding.

We are proud to see TAIMI researchers contributing to teaching that connects academic research with both local and global societal developments.
