AI-Facilitated Simulations Bring Social Intelligence to Life at Hanken in Vaasa
One of the key strengths of the TAIMI project has been its ability to connect research and teaching through innovative and engaging learning experiences.
In March 2026, TAIMI researchers Niina Nurmi and Hertta Vuorenmaa led a teaching activity with Bachelor’s students at Hanken in Vaasa, introducing AI-facilitated simulations through the TeamTwins platform to explore social intelligence in practice.
The activity provided students with an interactive environment where they could engage with realistic scenarios, reflect on interpersonal dynamics, and develop a deeper understanding of social intelligence in professional contexts. By combining artificial intelligence with experiential learning methods, the simulations encouraged active participation and practical application of concepts that are increasingly relevant in today’s workplaces.
Initiatives like these demonstrate how emerging technologies can enrich higher education by making learning more dynamic, meaningful, and impactful. At the same time, they highlight the value of research-informed teaching approaches that prepare students to navigate complex social and organizational environments.
The TAIMI project continues to support innovative educational practices that bridge theory and practice while fostering critical skills for the future.
