Rebecca Piekkari Contributes to ANZIBA–AIB Oceania Collaborative Event
TAIMI researcher Rebecca Piekkari contributed to the ANZIBA–AIB Oceania Collaborative Event, “Global Tides, Local Ties, Solesolevaki: Shaping the Future of International Business Research and Pedagogy,” held on 10–13 November 2025 at Fiji National University and The University of the South Pacific.
Her contribution to the conference programme included several academic roles, including reviewer, discussant, mentor, presenter, and guest editor. Through these roles, she supported international scholarly exchange and contributed to the development of research and pedagogy in the field of international business.
As part of the Early-Career Scholars Day on 10 November 2025, Rebecca Piekkari participated as both contributor and mentor, supporting doctoral researchers and emerging scholars in the field of international business. The programme focused on strengthening scholarly exchange, academic development, and international research collaboration among early-career researchers.
On 11 November 2025, she facilitated the research methods workshop “Case Studies – A Research Strategy to Reconcile Theory and Context.” The session addressed the role of case study methodology in international business research and explored ways of connecting theoretical development with contextual and organisational complexity.
In addition, Rebecca Piekkari served as guest editor in the Paper Development Workshop held on 13 November 2025, providing feedback and guidance to researchers developing academic manuscripts for publication.
The event formed part of the broader conference theme “Global Tides, Local Ties, Solesolevaki: Shaping the Future of International Business Research and Pedagogy.” Her contributions reflect the TAIMI project’s ongoing commitment to international academic collaboration, methodological development, and the support of future research communities in the field of international business.

Although the event took place earlier, its themes and outcomes remain closely connected to the ongoing work of the TAIMI project. Highlighting this contribution reflects the project’s broader international academic engagement and its commitment to advancing impactful research across global scholarly communities.
