Hertta Vuorenmaa

Hertta Vuorenmaa (PhD, Hanken School of Economics) is a University Lecturer (tenure track) in the Department of Management and Organisation at Hanken School of Economics. She is an experienced researcher and educator with expertise in work-life studies, people management, and organizational development, and she has previously served as Research Program Director for the Future of Work. Her research focuses on the changing world of work, including the impacts of artificial intelligence, remote and hybrid work, organizational transformation, human-centered work design, future skills and learning, and workforce diversity, equity, and inclusion.
She has participated in several large-scale research projects funded by the Academy of Finland and other competitive funding bodies, examining issues such as employee well-being, leadership practices, and gender inequality in organizations. In addition to her research, Hertta teaches and trains managers and professionals in Finland and internationally.
Her teaching covers topics including Strategic Human Resource Management, organizational culture, talent management, workplace bullying and harassment, gender and leadership, and international business. She has extensive experience in executive education and EMBA programs in countries such as South Korea, Poland, Spain (ESADE Madrid), Singapore, and Finland. She also serves as Chair of the Finnish Association of Work Life Research (FAWORE).
